Privacy, cookies and terms

What we collect

The reservation form asks only for what holding a table needs: a name, an email address, an optional phone number, the occasion, the number of guests, a preferred date, and any notes about allergies or which room you would rather sit in.

We ask for no payment details, because nothing is paid for on this page. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we buy no lists from anyone.

What we do with it

We use what you send us to answer the request and, if the evening goes ahead, to run the service — which mostly means the kitchen knowing about an allergy before you arrive.

We do not send marketing. Answering your request is the only thing your details are used for.

How long we keep it

Requests that never turn into a reservation are deleted after thirty days. Confirmed reservations stay in the dining-room book for the current accounting year and are then removed. Notes about allergies are kept only until the evening they refer to.

Cookies

This page sets one cookie of its own: a record of the choice you made in the cookie notice, so the notice does not reappear on every page you open.

Anonymous statistics are only switched on if you accept them in that notice. Declining takes no functionality away. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to have us stop using it, and you can object to our using it at all. Send the request through the reservation form and we answer within thirty days.

Reservation terms

A request sent from this page is a request, not a reservation. The table is held once we have written back to you and you have confirmed it.

Please tell us at least forty-eight hours ahead if you cannot come to a dinner, and seventy-two hours ahead for the card room or a private booking. With thirty-eight covers, a table released at the last minute stays empty for the evening.

The card room is for adults only and always requires a reservation. It is played with symbolic chips that carry no economic value: no money is staked, no prizes are paid, and no gambling or betting activity of any kind is carried on.
